Tine Eriksen Green - Host City speaker

Tine Eriksen Green

Position: Head of Project Tour de France, City of Copenhagen

The City of Copenhagen has a long and strong tradition for hosting major events with a huge public support, not least the last of couple of years with Tour de France Grand Départ 2022, World Pride and Eurogames 2021 and the UEFA EURO 2020.

As Head of Major Events, Tine Eriksen Green was leading the project team for Tour de France Grand Départ in Copenhagen 2022 that included an extensive Host City Programme with a 2 days-festival with approx. 40.000 guests and a public bike race on the Grand Départ time trial route with approx. 50.000 participants.

Tine Eriksen Green believes that events have the ability to bring the whole city together. Thinking big when conceptualising an event can attract the curious as well as the enthusiasts. Building an inclusive event requires a broad approach and strong partnerships. The starting point is finding connections and creating a platform around the event which embraces a wide range of stakeholders.

Looking ahead there are many more events to come in Copenhagen and a new Event Strategy for the City that embraces the increased focus on events that bring the city together and create legacy with a strong social impact.
