Niclas Bruns is an experienced project leader and expert in the coordination of large-scale sports events within the City of Berlin. Since 2020, he has served as the Senior Project Manager for the UEFA EURO 2024 in the Host City Berlin, overseeing the coordination and execution of one of the most high-profile football tournaments in Europe. Prior to this, he led the Project Office for „Die Finals“ – a Weekenend of German Championships, responsible for managing the flagship sports event in Germany.
In addition to his work on major football tournaments, Niclas Bruns has a strong background in multi-city sporting events. From 2016, he served as Project Manager for the European Championships 2018 in Berlin and Glasgow, a role that further solidified his expertise in cross-border collaboration and high-stakes event management.
Since 2016, Niclas Bruns has played a pivotal role in developing an utilizuing a criteria-based model to maximize and measure the impact of sporting events in Berlin, supporting the city’s strategic position as a global sports metropolis. His work continues to shape the way cities leverage major sporting events for long-term growth, legacy, and sustainability.
