Martin Fitchie

As a leading sport technology consultant with over 20 years’ experience, Martin established Motion Technology Services Ltd in 2019 to support clients to develop and deliver complex technology solutions. His recent projects have involved the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, UEFA Euro 2020, EXPO, and he is European Championships Management’s technology consultant.

Prior to setting up Motion Technology Service Ltd, Martin was one of the first employees to join European Championships Management in 2015. As Head of Technology, he supported the host city of Glasgow by developing their strategy and guiding them through the complexities of integrating technology in a brand new major multisport event, helping them to deliver a high quality yet sustainable model.

As a local, Martin was proud to be involved in the 'best-ever' Commonwealth Games in 2014 when he was responsible for planning and delivering the end-to-end results service. Martin worked on the Olympics in London 2012 and Vancouver 2010 and was an Account Manager for one of the world's leading sports media technology companies, Deltatre, providing results and graphics services to Federations, events and broadcasters including World Athletics, British Athletics, Rugby World Cup and the SPL.

Martin is also a passionate sportsman, competitive ‘vet’ athlete, ISIA qualified ski instructor.
