Position: President & CEO, Los Angeles Sport & Entertainment Commission

Kathryn Schloessman is President & CEO of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC), a non-profit organization officially designated by Los Angeles Tourism to attract, secure and support high-profile sports and entertainment events in Los Angeles.

Schloessman leads LASEC’s strategic efforts to bring major events to Los Angeles and partners with the City and the region’s iconic venues to host a successful experience, ensuring their desire for a future return. She is also responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s day-to-day operations.

Under Schloessman’s leadership, LASEC has been awarded, and has begun plans for the hosting of, several high-profile sporting events including the 2021 MLS All-Star Game, 2022 Super Bowl, 2022 MLB All-Star Game, 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship, 123rd U.S. Open Championship, 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball West Region Championship and continues to support the Local Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The LASEC team is now working to guarantee Los Angeles as one of the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup™ host cities. After securing these high profile events, LASEC connects these events with local businesses and communities to deliver lasting economic, cultural, and social impacts for the region.

LASEC also hosts four annual events aimed at bringing board members and community supporters together with industry leaders: Dodgers All-Access, Lakers All-Access, LASEC Golf Classic at The Riviera Country Club and NFL All-Access.

Prior to joining LASEC, Schloessman was a 13-year veteran of CB Commercial (now CBRE), the largest commercial real estate company in the United States. As managing officer of CB Commercial’s Downtown Los Angeles office, she was responsible for business development, operations and management of the Los Angeles region’s office professionals and oversaw CB Commercial’s community relations efforts. Schloessman also served as marketing director for CB Commercial’s Western Division and has more than 10 years of experience as lead broker for major lease transactions in the Downtown Los Angeles market.

Schloessman is an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Schloessman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
