Position: Chief Operating Officer, Sport Tourism Canada
Grant MacDonald is the Chief Operating Officer for Sport Tourism Canada, a member-based, capacity building organization for the $7.4 billion industry sector in Canada and is a past Board Chair. He is one of Canada’s leading sport tourism and major event professionals with over three decades of experience working with host cities, host organizations and host venues. He has led several international ice hockey events and has also worked on international football, golf and sailing event attraction and delivery. He began his career in amateur sport while also working as a Scout for the Toronto Blue Jays, including the World Series year of 1993.
