Cindy Medynski

Leading the major sport and cultural event attraction team (Edmonton Events) with Explore Edmonton, Cindy Medynski is dedicated to promoting her destination and bringing the world to Edmonton. For over five years, Cindy has been responsible for positioning Edmonton nationally and internationally as a premier event host, and together with her colleagues attracts, markets, and develops sport and cultural events of all shapes and sizes alongside event rights holders.

With experience on local organizing committees for major international events like the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the ITU World Cup Triathlon, Cindy brings a unique perspective to the Edmonton Events team and endeavors to attract events that are the right fit for the city. Cindy recognizes the major social impacts that sport events can have on a population and works with local stakeholders to ensure her city maximizes the benefit so Edmonton can thrive.
