The Sports Consultancy was established in 2006 by our co-managing directors Angus Buchanan and Robert Datnow, whose passion for sport and commercial sports industry acumen have since helped the agency flourish. Prior to creating the company, both combined professional sporting careers while training as lawyers. 

One of the few independent events management consultancies, we provide expertise across the globe to a broad range of stakeholders in areas from rights marketing and brand sponsorship to host city consulting, national and government strategy creation, major event and venue consulting, and legal, regulatory and governance.

Established and experienced while remaining nimble and flexible, we have built a market-leading reputation for our tailored commitment to all our clients. We are proud of our longstanding client relationships, many of which date back to the year we were founded.

While The Sports Consultancy works globally, our office is based in the heart of Central London, with a 43 strong team, our own in-house SRA regulated law firm, TSC Legal, and a specialist major events feasibility team.
