Andy Meikle is the Founder and CEO of tech start-up, Recast. Founded in 2018, Recast is a subscription-free live and on-demand streaming platform, which gives fans affordable access to the sports and entertainment they love, whilst rights holders and content creators earn directly for every view through micropayments. 

Within 3 years Recast has gone from concept to now delivering an OTT solution which allows rights holders to set up and run their own direct-to-consumer channel in minutes, and at no cost. Although Recast is currently in BETA, it is already available in 88 countries and features over 150 channels including athletes, organisations and rights holders of all sizes, with a steady stream of new channels coming on board. 

Prior to Recast, Andy took his entrepreneurial Tech, Media and Digital experience into the world of sport and founded Sportlobster in 2011. The ground-breaking digital sports platform provided fans with personalised access to stats, news, scores, and predictions, growing to millions of users through hundreds of key partners, including Cristiano Ronaldo, the NBA, the NFL and Emirates Airlines.

Andy has also been recognised by entrepreneur.com in the US, naming him as “one of Britain’s brightest entrepreneurs changing the start-up landscape” and was recognised in the Leaders Sports Awards 2021, Leaders Under 40.
