Mark Mateer

Mark is a consultant specialising in the delivery of major events and federation operations. He has 15 years’ experience of strategic and operational planning and delivery in this area. 

He has worked with wide range of stakeholders globally and has delivered on a number of major games including London 2012 Olympic Games, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Baku 2015 European Games, Samoa 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games, Rio 2016 Olympic Games and most recently Ashgabat 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG). 

As Head of Sport at Ashgabat 2017 he was responsible for delivering a highly innovative and unique sport programme in a nation unfamiliar with major events. The sport programme included the integration of eSport into a multi-sport games format for the first time. 

In additional to major multi-sport games he has run a number of continental championship, in both Olympic and non-Olympic sports.
