Alexandre França
Position: Events Operations Director, Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM)
Alexandre França is Events Operations Director at the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM), where he oversees the planning and delivery of major international competitions, including World Cups, World Championships and the Olympic Games. Based at UIPM headquarters in Monaco since 2017, he has extensive experience in international sport, event operations and the coordination of complex projects and stakeholders.
Before joining UIPM, Alexandre served as an officer in the Brazilian Army and built a long career in high-performance sport, including as Head Coach of the Brazilian Modern Pentathlon National Team across three Olympic Games.
Alongside his academic background in sport and administration, he holds a PhD in Biochemistry, with research focused on exercise and high-performance athletes, combining operational and leadership experience with a multidisciplinary background.
