Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky

Position: Deputy Mayor of Budapest

Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky took up office as Deputy Mayor of Budapest for Human Affairs on 4 November 2014. She is responsible for performing duties related to culture, education, social policy, youth policy, sports, environmental protection, tourism and city image. In this broad area it falls within her competence to supervise the operation of theatres, museums, sports centres and various other institutions. She pays particular attention to duties related to city image with the aim of making Budapest a popular and more visible city for its residents and its visitors alike. Prior to this she was a Member of the General Assembly of Budapest (FIDESZ-KDNP alliance).

Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky holds a degree from the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, where she majored in Law.
