Sean Parry

Position: Commercial Strategy Director, Zwift

Sean is the Commercial Strategy Director at Zwift, the virtual platform that utilises MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) gaming technology to enable cyclists and runners from around the world to come together to explore virtual worlds, socialise, undertake structured training, and also to compete.  A key part of Sean’s mandate is the long term development of elite cycling competition on Zwift, building the ecosystem and infrastructure required to power the world’s first hybrid physical/virtual sport that blends the traditional values of an Olympic discipline with the youth-appeal of esports. He leads Zwift’s relationships with stakeholders like the UCI and the IOC, and was responsible for the first ever UCI Cycling Esports World Championships in 2020, and the cycling events within the first Olympic Virtual Series, in partnership with the UCI, in June 2021. He is currently leading the delivery of the 2022 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships, scheduled for February 2022. Prior to joining Zwift, Sean worked for The Sports Consultancy in a strategic/commercial advisory role assisting rights holders, destinations and brands across sport and culture. His clients include the International Cricket Council, International Olympic Committee, World Rugby, Bureau International des Expositions, Union Cycliste Internationale, Formula E, Dow Jones, Volvo Ocean Race, London and Partners, Dubai Falcon, Goodwood and the Sultanate of Oman
