Gianni Minervini
Position: Executive Director, LEN European Aquatics
Gianni Minervini joined the League Européenne de Natation (LEN) in 2015. He took the position of LEN Executive Director in 2017.
His professional profile developed at Procter & Gamble, where he held strategic and operational roles on several product categories, at local and global level.
He was spokesperson for the candidature of Rome to host the 13th FINA World Championships (2005). He then took the position of Associate Director of the Rome 2009 Organizing Committee (2006-2009).
A former competitive swimmer and 3-time Olympian (Los Angeles 1984, Seoul 1988 and Barcelona 1992) he has gained medals at World Championships and European Championships and has broken two European Records.
Born in Rome (ITA) he has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Materials Science and a Master’s degree in Materials Science Engineering, both from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
He is married, has two sons and currently lives in Geneva.
