Eva Szanto
Position: Executive Director, Organising Committee for the 17th FINA World Championships & FINA World Masters Championships
Eva Szanto has been leading the preparations for the World Championships since November 2015. Before that she was Secretary General of the Hungarian Swimming Association, where she was involved in organising several swimming events including the FINA – HOSA Marathon Swimming World Cup. She has been involved in organising various other sport events, starting from the bidding period.
Her previous sport administration leadership roles included being Secretary General of the Hungarian Rowing Federation and the Hungarian Sports Confederation. She was a lecturer at the Hungarian University of Physical Education and Sport Sciences for several years.
As part of her pathway in sport diplomacy she has been a member of FISA (International Rowing Federation) Events Commission since 2010 and the European Rowing Management Board since 2007 and was a TD in FISU – giving a deep insight and knowledge of event organising for the rights holder point of view.
