New Audiences through Sports and Entertainment
At Host City Asia, international event owners met Asian destinations and investors. Host City Asia highlights the issues and opportunities facing everyone in the major events business.
With three Olympic Games taking place in Asia over the next six years, Asia is fast emerging as the world’s largest event market. China alone is investing $850bn in sports by 2025 and Asian cities are looking for global partners to develop their entertainment and cultural sectors.
Host City magazine was originally launched in 2003 to help the organising committee of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and facilitate knowledge transfer on all aspects of event hosting. Host City Asia is therefore uniquely placed to bring east and west together in this marketplace.
Taking place in Beijing on 31 May 2018, Host City Asia brought together international event owners and Asian destinations, investors and suppliers for mutual insight and strategic relationship building. Host City’s highly regarded conference programme includes top-level speakers from the most influential organisations worldwide, alongside representatives from businesses with experience of all aspects of event hosting.
With a mix of panel discussions, keynote addresses and case studies on the theme of “New Audiences through Sports and Entertainment”, Host City Asia highlighted the issues and opportunities facing everyone in the major events business.
I really enjoyed the conference! I found the speakers and other attendees to be very accessible and keen to discuss the sports market and future opportunities
