Highlighting the issues and opportunities facing everyone in the major events business
Now in its fourth year of growth, Host City is firmly established as the largest meeting of cities and sports, business and cultural events.
Host City is renowned for the highest level of speakers, content and networking. And as the event continues to grow, we ensure that it delivers the best for our large and increasingly diverse community.
Alongside the VIP addresses, plenary panels and growing exhibition that are the hallmark of Host City, we present streamed sessions and roundtables dedicated to the diverse interests of delegates, who will learn about and announce practical opportunities around hosting major events.
One content stream will focus on the opportunities and issues around mega events, which require sustainable investments in design, infrastructure, technology, security and event management.
Organising committee directors will share best practice and discuss opportunities with the world’s leading solutions providers.
A second content stream will address cities and events of all kinds – from major sports championships and scientific congresses to culture and entertainment. Cities and rights holders will have the unique
opportunity to highlight their own strengths and requirements to ensure the best fit and return on investment when hosting events.
In addition, a programme of structured networking will make sure that all delegates have the maximum opportunity to meet a great number of their influential counterparts and establish new friendships.
We are delighted to be returning again to Glasgow, the host of a diverse programme of major events including the innovative European Championships in 2018.
Host City provided us and our Finnish host cities a great opportunity to present Finland as an ideal place to organise memorable events. It was also an excellent opportunity to share information and exchange ideas for creating even better events in the future.
